As part of the June celebrations honoring the 80th anniversary of Underhill’s death, Hampstead Parish Church in whose parish cemetery Underhill is buried, has commissioned an important addition to her gravesite – a new ledger stone, carved with a quotation from her writings, and more importantly, a clarification about her identity. While her original gravestone identified her only as the daughter of Arthur Underhill and the wife of Hubert Stuart Moore, the new stone will feature the name by which so many around the world know her.
This is an exciting and expensive undertaking, and Hampstead Parish is seeking financial support for the design and carving of the stone. (See the documents below for more details)
